I listen to podcasts all damn day at work, so here's my newer ones:
Mohr Stories from Jay Mohr - Surprisingly interesting.
The Crabfeast from Ryan Sickler & Jay Larson - These guys are funny ass story tellers, and Sickler laughs like he's sitting on his balls.
The Champs from Neal Brennan (co-creator of Chappelle Show) and Moshe Kasher - They only have non-white guests (Pras from Fugees, Hannibal Burress, Jose Canseco, Lexington Steele). The drops are so terrible and awkward, but occasionally hilarious.
Intelligence Squared from NPR - 2-on-2 moderated debates that are decided by which side persuades more of the audience to their side at the end.
How Did This Get Made with Paul Scheer (The League), Jason Manzoukis (Rafi from The League) and June Diana Raphael is really good when the guest and/or movie right. I'm not a big movie watcher, so sometimes I pass if I haven't seen it.
Hardcore History & Common Sense from Dan Carlin. The Genghis Khan ep was good stuff.
Breaking Bad Insider Podcast is great stuff from the creator & cast when BB is in season.

i never miss this, but it's lower on my list. I always get to it eventually. the one with the director of The Punisher was fantastic.

Any time Andy Daly is on it's gold. The episode where all of his characters commit suicide had me in tears.

My new car has a usb port so I've started listening to some.

Favs:

Freight Train Boogie - basically a weekly 40 -60 minute Americana/Country Rock radio show put together by some Bay Area guy with some No Depression Magazine affiliation. Mostly obscure stuff, always a few gems

K&L Spirits Journal - K&L Wine's Spirits Buyer interviews distillers, blenders, brand ambassadors, & others about spirits (mostly scotch and whiskey). Pretty sporadic postings though.

Also like:

Food is the New Rock - a KCRW DJ and a Food Blogger Interview Chefs about Music and Musicians about Food.

Chef's Story - Interviews with Chefs. The John Besh one was really great

Anyone listening to anything new?

I gave that new Jeff Garlin-hosted podcast ("By The Way") a shot, mainly because Larry David was his first guest. The content was pretty funny (mainly because of LD's genius), but that damn thing is CHOCK FULL of intrusive audio promos for crap like Audible, etc.

I just listened to the latest episode - his guest was Jeff Tweedy, who was surprisingly hilarious...ESPECIALLY his story about Wilco watching a recent Sammy Hagar concert DVD on the tour bus. Apparently, Tweedy and Garlin are close pals in real life, and they did have really good chemistry throughout this one.

Really enjoy You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes as a softer goofier alternative to WTF. Pete can be grating for sure, but if the guest is right he can get into some pretty wonderful conversations, and go places Marc would never go. I love them both, and probably still prefer WTF, but Pete is onto something.

The Adam and Drew Show
Informative and hilarious. It's similar to, but way more relaxed, than Love Line with an emphasis on unfiltered "old man" rants full of pent-up middle-aged hatred brewed up by Adam Corolla. Even Dr. Drew is much more loose on this show -- dropping an occasional "shit"-bomb and having the courage to call shit for what it is.

How Did This Get Made?
I saw it mentioned earlier in this thread without description:
It's a shitty Mystery Science Theater 3000 in that it riffs off the plots of bad, relatively recent, movies. One podcast is a preview of the movie the listener should watch prior to the next podcast comprised of the aforementioned comics' observations in front of a live studio audience. I've viewed more than a few shitty movies because of this podcast.

- Firewall & Iceberg - tv
- NPR Fresh Air
- NPR All Songs Considered
- Slate's Hang Up and Listen - sports
- Slate's Culture Gabfest - pop culture
- Slate's Spoiler Special - after watching whatever tv/movies they feature on it - fairly in-depth discussion of the tv or movie
- Stuff You Missed In History Class - random history podcast
- Men in Blazers - soccer, EPL, etc - my favorite one I currently listen to
- Grantland Network - Reality TV, Girls in Hoodies, Hollywood Prospectus
- WTF - Listened to the Mel Brooks one last week, really good

Just checked out the podcast of "The Sunday Session" on the TheBrewingNetwork.com for the first time. I think I want to skip around and maybe check out a show where they talk to someone relevant. The host reminds me of Ross Rollins from The Monsters (a reference that only LooGAR and tentoze will get)

Anyone listened to the Song Exploder podcast?

Hosted by Hrishikesh Hriway (The One AM Radio), he has a conversation with an artist deconstructing one song and then heavily edits them into 15ish minute pods with snippets of the songs or master tapes added in. I just discovered the other day and am loving it. Have listened to past episodes from The National ("Sea of Love"), My Morning Jacket ("Spring (Among the Living)", Ramin Djawadi (the "Game of Thrones" theme), and American Football ("The One with the Tambourine)" thus far.

Website (but also available on iTunes, etc): http://songexploder.net/

The Bruce Thomas two part interview about Are You Experienced? is awesome but there are many great ones.

I originally misread this as Country MOOG, and thought, "Now there's an untapped genre!"
