Which show should I invite a girl to tonight? She lives outside of the city, and I'm trying to get her to come up here tonight. :D

I like q and not u, and would be interested in seeing them live. Not as familiar with crooked fingers, though I've heard good things.

man, this is a tough one. for one you are comparing apples to oranges. both bands are great live. not sure what her tastes are. and if you arent sure, i would say crooked fingers. q and not u might be a little over the top for her. i just saw crooked fingers 2 weeks ago and they were amazing.

i think that q and not u changed a lot when that bass player left and aren't as "fun" as they used to be live. i saw crooked fingers in november solo and it was really good, i think that with a full band it would probably gain something. all things being equal i'd rather see crooked fingers again.

I played football with that bass player in high school.

I'd vote Crooked Fingers, but it's my favorite thing to come out this year.

David, you can check out an archive of Crooked Fingers on KCRW from yesterday's show to see what they're like. They're ok. I'd probably for Q and Not U...but as was stated, it depends on what her tastes are like.

really? i never saw them before the dude left but i saw them like 6-8 months ago and they put on a pretty good show. i kinda thought their sound changed after he left and that they were more "fun".

dOOdz, keep that on the d.l. Kno'mean? We cannot have -- we shan't have this getting around, that a wussy-boy dance-punker, from Ian's label no less, played high-school football. And, yeah, yeah, I know -- plenty of gaybos have played and do play American football, but most of those gaybos in question are still more traditional male Foreigner-rockers than metroid Rapture- and e-heads. So, they... They have an excuse. The Q and Not U boys? No excuses. Hush yo' fuss, then. Capische?

Is Eric Bachmann touring with a full band? Crooked Fingers is awesome with a full band.

While I love both bands, I'd probably pick Q And Not U over Crooked Fingers. I saw QANU about two weeks ago in NY and they are still really "fun" live. They played a really great mix of new and older songs. I was actually kind of surprised by the setlist. I don't know who Crooked Fingers is touring with, but Manhunter and Food For Animals, who are playing with QANU, are pretty good live.

Yeah. He was a year behind me, and though I've lost touch, I used to know his family. We weren't running buddies or anything, but teammates, which is closer than mere acquaintances. I think he played DB if I remember correctly. Not sure if he played his senior year or not.

If I hunted around this house I might could find a picture.

So I ended up seeing q and not u...alone  Couldn't get ahold of the girl I wanted to ask.

I liked them a lot; what a fun band. I only know power, but picked up different damage -- listening to it now, and I think I like it better than power.
