I'm working on a YSI of the audio . . . it's a FLAC file so it's pretty big (29mb) and it's moving slooooooow. I didn't bother getting the video, that would take forever to YSI. Check back in a bit for the link.

I thought it was fantastic. I was a little surprised they did The Lung since there's a total of about 12 words to the song but I thought it was sweet. For me, being a fan for 10 years and never having seen the original lineup, this was a dream come true. It was sweet seeing J and Lou so into after years of bitter hatred between them.

Sweet. One of my all-time favorite songs. Funny coincidence, I had just taped the album from someone on my floor when I ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung. "Nowhere to collapse from..."

it's "Nowhere to collapse the lung"

I was pretty happy they did "Lung." Truth be told, I would have freaked if they did "Little Furry Things," but I actually thought they were going to do "Freakscene" (which is cool, but not one of my favorites). So seeing them do "Lung" was pretty sweet.

"Lung" was a good choice and a great song, but my favorite is "Raisans".

Actually, I believe it's "No way to collapse the lung." Amazing how with J's often incoherent vocals there can be debate over the lyrics to a song with 12 total words to it.

I thought they'd do Freakscene as well but that song has "fuck" in it a couple times which is probably why they didn't. I also heard they were going to do Kracked which they apparently recorded for the show along with The Lung.

you know, for YEARS I thought it was "No way..." also, but in the past I've heard many say it was "No where" which at first I thought didnt make any sense, but I think I just started hearing the song that way. argh, whatever.

and yeah, I kinda figured that was probably why they didnt do "Freakscene" too.

You could easily be right. Until recently I thought the words were, "No way to collapse the lung, BREATHES DOWN in everyone." There was a recent debate on Freakscene.net about it and now I think it's "No way to collapse the lung, BREATHES A DOUBT in everyone." Many on the board were arguing that it's "BREEDS a doubt..." In the end, J Mascis is probably the only one who really knows and even he probably forgets what he sang on the original recording.
