Haven't posted anything here for a while, but now I got another one.
The Enigma Variations
Mid 80s label compilation with a really diverse selection of tracks over 2 LPs. You want heavy hard shit, listen to the 45 Grave track or Citadel by Red Kross. You want psychedelia, try Plasticland or Rain Parade. Roots rough edged acoustic? Greg Sage & Naked Prey. Reggae inspired Caribean dance music? The Untouchables. Just plain goofy? John Trubee and Scott Goddard.
Not everything stands out; that SSQ track may be one of the worst dance/electro songs ever (but damn was that singer hot). The Cathedral of Tears song is pretty disappointing. But, plenty of great stuff and not all of it available elsewhere like a great Jet Black Berries song and alternate takes on songs by TSOL and others. The Pandoras tear it up. Just lots to like on here.

Not surprising that a label sampler like this is out of print. This was originally priced really cheap just to get you to try some things out (pre-internet, this was a common way of hearing new music in case you youngsters out there didn't realize) and hope you would go buy more . But, it's still something well worth listening to, so if you're curious, click below:
