Maybe, but theres substance to this, as well. Those guys all had political interests at stake in their region that they failed to address in the way the GOP wanted...firing them for that reason is legitimately wrong.
As far as diversion from discussion of Iraq policy/military failures, that horse is so far out of the barn and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT, so it isnt like if we dont actually think about it or discuss it for one hour on Sunday mornings that it will somehow go away.
Oh, and it is nice that everyone finally has 'woken up' to the state of the VA system in this country. I was actually surprised to hear that Walter Reed was in as good a shape as it was, so its all perspective, I guess.
