This was good...although Russert gave these guys many opportunities to bring down the hammer. The NM guy did, in a way, but the guy from Washington state was terribly noncommittal. Sure doesnt look good for the GOP, though. Even Specter was less than optimistic.

Yeah, its a nice diversion alright; I'm sure the dudes who left limbs in Iraq and are now sharing hospital rooms with bats and mold are really getting something out of this political hack horseshit.

Arlen Specter should be recalled for wearing that jacket and tie combo.

Maybe, but theres substance to this, as well. Those guys all had political interests at stake in their region that they failed to address in the way the GOP wanted...firing them for that reason is legitimately wrong.

As far as diversion from discussion of Iraq policy/military failures, that horse is so far out of the barn and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT, so it isnt like if we dont actually think about it or discuss it for one hour on Sunday mornings that it will somehow go away.

Oh, and it is nice that everyone finally has 'woken up' to the state of the VA system in this country. I was actually surprised to hear that Walter Reed was in as good a shape as it was, so its all perspective, I guess.
