I'd venture that while there are a few standouts, most of his albums from the 80's, 90's and 00's are forgettable.
If it makes you feel better, I think Juana Molina is pretty meh as well.
It was the only one they had in stock that I did not own.
And I did have another choice in my hand, as well... a Best of Roy Wood, 2-disc collection that I wish I had purchased instead. The kicker with that one was that I already had 6 or 7 of the songs in that collection, and none of the songs on Velo, so I thought I would spend halp the cash and get a colleciton that was entirely new to me. Damn.
There are some good songs on the Veloso, but the production damn near ruins them.
