Hey, question for the techies out there...
I've been evaluating IE 7.0 and my company maintains an ftp site for our clients to access project info. With IE 6 and prior versions, you could just type your ftp address in the url field, i.e.
ftp://ftp.yourcompany.com, and it would bring up the folders. With IE 7.0, this feature has gone bye-bye. You go to the site, it gives you an error, and you have to choose "Page > open FTP site in Windows Explorer." I had to hunt for that one, because it's not very clear, and the error message certainly doesn't tell you to do that.
So, I guess my question is: does anyone know a workaround for this, i.e. if a person goes to your ftp site via IE 7.0, can you make it default so it automatically opens Windows Explorer for you instead? I've been hunting around online and haven't found anything yet, but you guys never cease to amaze me with your knowledge.... thanks.
