i don't know why i laughed at this, but it cracked me up. Philly had a massive dogfighting ring broken up last year though so i'm without comment.

note: I originally typed it as "doggfighting", which is much, much cooler.

This is also the state that had the airplane bottles of liquor, which I think is now on the way out.

I'd hate that law if they had it here. I found the stiffest drinks at the Canal Club in Venice 2 weeks back for LA folks. ¡Viva Lado del Oeste!

Well the thing is that bars now have the choice to use either airplane bottles or "free pour" bottles (the big ones). They can still use airplane bottles from now on, and may continue to do so since they have storage for them. If they were to go free pour, they might have to invest some money into new shelving and storage for the big bottles, which could be a deterrent.
