I have seen this before, but I don't think it was here....

The question: How many 5 year-olds could you take on at once?

The specifics:

- You are in an enclosed area, roughly the size of a basketball court. There are no foreign objects.
- You are not allowed to touch a wall.
- When you are knocked unconscious, you lose. When they are all knocked unconscious, they lose. Once a kid is knocked unconscious, that kid is "out."
- I (or someone else intent on seeing to it you fail) get to choose the kids from a pool that is twice the size of your magic number. The pool will be 50/50 in terms of gender and will have no discernable abnormalities in terms of demographics, other than they are all healthy Americans.
- The kids receive one day of training from hand-to-hand combat experts who will train them specifically to team up to take down one adult. You will receive one hour of "counter-tactics" training.
- There is no protective padding for any combatant other than the standard-issue cup.
* The kids are motivated enough to not get scared, regardless of the bloodshed. Even the very last one will give it his/her best to take you down.

5-7 tops.

Kids are like wolves, they move in concert.

Five year olds are pretty small. Seven or eight year olds might be a little more difficult (just ask Jacko); I don't know, I bet I could kick the living shit out of 10 or 12 of the little bastards. I mean, once you put your boot under one little chin while leveling another with a fist square between the eyes---its over. The site of blood will make the others fold immediately.

And I'm with Bill----what the fuck is the matter with you?

It says the kids are motivated, regardless of bloodshed....

I didnt write it, I just report it.....

i think i could take as many as came at me, until i got too tired and needed to lay down.

It would kinda be like the D-Day landings. You'd wipe out the first wave, the second would be contained but you'd take some debiltating blows and then the third wave would just overwhelm you.

If you want figures I'd say 10-15.

Hard to say...the training is the wild card. I don't think the last pack of five year olds I took on were very well-trained.

I don't know. Little kids drive me crazy so they'd probably have me screaming for my life.

a lot I think...unless they were strong enough to take out my knees...if I had a cup, I think nearly an unlimited amount.

Yeah - the cup thing gives me a shot of confidence...

Though, thinking about it a bit more, I'm downgrading it to 30...

Lower extremeties are the key factor. If the kids are trained or realize that the achilles heel and knees are vulnerable then there might be a problem. If not i think flying knees and elbow bombs would take out tons of 5 year olds.

If the question is "how many at once?". I'd also have to say 10 to 15, maybe even less. When was the last time you smoked your shin against a coffee table? That's enough to make me wince pretty badly. If all you've got is the cup and no leg protection, a couple of good shots and you'd be down. Then I bet those little Buster Brown's will be laying it on pretty thick to the kidneys (if they were trained well).

I should also say that I once participated in a pain experiment in the psych department and I scored in the lowest percentile. I'm like fine china.

Probably not very many. Some 5-yr-olds aren't much smaller than I am...

But I doubt they hold their liquor as well -- so, get 'em drunk first, then take 'em on.

I don't know, I doubt the training would take...I mean 1 day, I can't imagine their short attention spans would could take that single day of training. Maybe I'm underestimating them and they take me out after 5 or 6. But I'd say it's more likely What Twilight Kid said, I can take 'em out untill I get sleepy.

i could probably keep em pretty far away from me, unable to get much contact. Plus, I don't care what kind of pack mentality these buggers have, one swift kick connection under one of their chins with a steal-toed boot (yeah, I got a pair) and the rest of these trained killers are runnin.'

Plus, say they get me to my knees, I still gotta have a foot or so on most of em, and eyes, ears and throats become easier to punch at that range.

Not sure how many, but it would be pretty fun to try, in a VERY sick way.

sepsirte how many 5 year olds there are, they cant be that strong....

guessing that if they surrounded you, only 4 could attack at any given time....

my good arm can quickly knowck one or two out.. even a wild swing from my weaker arm (right) could take out a 5 year old...then using one leg for balance, a swift kick to one of em, would put them out..

i think i could keep that up for a while...

we are some sick people.....

Good goddamn that kid in the back row, far right has a noggin so big he can't even hold it up.

I would tire pretty quickly, but I'm gonna be better closer to the ground anyway. At least fighting on the ground, if I covered up fairly well they couldn't get too many good shots. Plus, my defense would probably not be real high on their training schedule.

Get 'em in close, choke em out and surprise a few with some kicks and punches from a crouch. I would definitely start biting off noses and ears too.

I'd go for 20-30.

I thought of a good strategy - just find the tallest, thinnest one and swing it around in a circle, knocking down all attackers.

y'all are FUUUCKED UP.

I could do 30 easily. Just start running over their feet, get em on the ground and it's game over.
