Seeing that cover makes me realize the lost art of most covers today. It also makes me sad, in a way, because this is just an anthology and not a new album. It has also reminded me how far British music has fallen with a few expectations being bands like SFA and Radiohead.

I realize most people on this board could care less but this is BIG news for me. I also hope it turns on a few more to what they were all about. They started with a album called Ichabod and I, which sounds like Dinosaur Jr., to release, arguably, the second most praised Shoegaze album behind Loveless called Giant Steps. Than they ended with one of most emotional albums ever made called Kingsize. Looking at other music boards to get the chatter on this anthology and found this on I Love Music and pretty much sums it up: "i'm so happy that this is coming out and that the boos' back catalogue is being treated with nothing but respect. this is a brilliant cross section of their work and i'm very happy that they've included non-obvious gems like…"

Of course the song "Put Your Arms Around Me And Tell Me Everything’s Gonna Be OK" was included.

*On a side note: Thanks to all the well wishers on my last thread. Things are still in limbo and I have no idea what is going to happen next. I have come to the conclusion that network TV sucks and I don’t know how people live without the dish. The local news is the worst and I don’t know why anyone would leave the house because it’s so dangerous out there. Maybe people who don’t have cable read books or something.

Yeah I missed that but I haven’t been around here either. I was so excited I didn’t go back over all the missed days.

An erection is an understatement.

I can’t delete but that artwork speaks for itself!

Fuck! Posted by Bravecaptain aka Martin Carr, last night:

"this comp is becoming a nightmare.

i still have to knock 12(!) minutes off side 2. its in danger of just being a singles comp which was not the idea at all."

Pitchforkmedia said: Though they played a major role in defining British indie in the 90s (before fellow countrymen Blur and Oasis launched it into the mainstream), chances are if you called the U.S. home, you were pretty much oblivious to the Boo Radleys, who unfortunately lacked the cheeky shenanigans to propel them onto the cover of the British tabloids. Well, your chance for a second date is on its way. According to Sanctuary Records, the influential (but sadly disbanded) group are prepping a career-spanning 2xCD anthology for release on July 4 through Castle Music, a Sanctuary offshoot.

Entitled Find the Way Out, the comp marks the group's first comprehensive hits collection, and includes tracks culled from each of the three labels they recorded for during their lifespan-- Action, Rough Trade, and Creation Records. The 40 remastered songs included on the set offer a healthy number of selections from each of the band's six studio albums (most notably the classic Giant Steps), as well as singles, b-sides, and previously unreleased material. The album also features deluxe packaging with artwork by original collaborator Stephen Wood.

~Martin Carr getting pissed because the second disc was over by 12 minutes. I pointed out to him that people really do care and that there were over 50 responses on two different threads ilx alone. So it looks like they have come to an understanding on the second disc: http://www.noblepr.co.uk/Press_Releases ... adleys.htm

DISC 1
1. Catweazle (from ‘Ichabod And I’)
2. Happens To Us All (from ‘Ichabod And I’)

6. Everybird (from ‘Boo Up!’ EP)
7. Lazy Day (from ‘Everything’s Alright Forever’)
8. Spaniard (from ‘Everything’s Alright Forever’)
9. Does This Hurt (from ‘Everything’s Alright Forever’)
10. Sunfly II: Walking With The Kings (from ‘Boo! Forever’ EP)
11. Buffalo Bill (from ‘Boo! Forever’ EP)
12. Lazarus (12" version) (from ‘Lazarus’ single)
13. Let Me Be Your Faith (b-side from ‘Lazarus’ single)
14. Best Lose The Fear (from ‘Giant Steps’)
15. I Hang Suspended (from ‘Giant Steps’)
16. I've Lost The Reason (from ‘Giant Steps’)
17. Wish I Was Skinny (from ‘Giant Steps’)
18. Cracked Lips/Homesick (b-side from ‘Barney (…And Me)’ single)
19. Barney (…And Me) (from ‘Giant Steps’)
20. It’s Lulu (from ‘Wake Up!’)

10. C’mon Kids (from ‘C’mon Kids’)
11. Ride The Tiger (from 'C'mon Kids')
12. Tomorrow (previously unreleased)
13. Blueroom In Archway (from ‘Kingsize’)
14. Free Huey (from ‘Kingsize’)
15. Kingsize (from ‘Kingsize’)

1)8:54 2) 8:48 3) 4:34 4) 6:10 5) 3:02 6) 4:24 7) 3:36 8) 3:29 9) 4:26 10) 4:10 11) 6:38 12) 2:45 13) 4:27 14) 3:07 15) 4:41 = (approx) 73:20

They could still put on my theme song “Put Your Arms Around Me and Tell Me Everything’s Going To Be OK” 2:50 and “New Brighton Promenade” 3:05 from the very misunderstood but fucking brilliant C’Mon Kids album.

The ending song is perfect as it will be the song I dedicate to my wife someday. I LOVE this band almost more than life itself and tonight I’m a bit sad because five songs have been cut, making me want to do drugs. (The sky was Bullfog Green, man you would have been amazed!)
