He's not bad, really.

Oh wait, that was John Cafferty. Springsteen did that St. Elmos's Fire song. Yeah.

Actually Bruce wrote Pink Cadillac and Natalie Cole covered it. Bruce's version is only on his Tracks boxset, though. By the way, apparently VH1 is showing an extended version of this Storytellers episode Tuesday night at 8.

it's odd that more people know "Pink Cadillac" from Natalie Cole and "Blinded By the Light" from Manfred Mann. They'd probably know "Hungry Heart" more from the Ramones if this was a perfect world.

i can't wat to check out the extended version on tuesday.

In that Manfred Mann cover, he changes the order of the verses and because of that I have no respect for him or his shitty Earth Band. I hope he is dead and if he isn't, I hope he dies soon.

Not only harsh, but Mann has had some really good songs. Not-so-good-ones, too. There's a few Earth Band albums that are extremely good.

Wait, Phil Collins didn't write "Spirit In The Night"? Damn.

I read a review of Devils & Dust today that called the whole thing "tuneless, lacking in discernible melody and boring."

Hey, yeah, downbeat Bruce just ain't where it's at.

Which means it'll probably be one of my favorites of the year.

Well I apologize for being harsh, but I also do not like that a few of his hits are covers.

I mentioned that this was on to my fishing buddies. One of them replied that Bruce wasn't exactly his thing. I told hom he should consider killing himself because he didn't like music or America.

I really enjoyed this performance and now I am eagerly anticipating his album on Tuesday. $9.99 at Circuit City.

My wife as Springsteen started playing:

"Oh God, he's got the harmonica out. My cue to leave."

We don't agree on The Boss.
