I dont know if anyone here is familiar with Tonedeff. his flow is otherworldly and he can write really beautiful songs. the most versatile MC out right now IMO. anyway, his new album 'archetype' is hands down the best album i've heard this year and as a DJ I listen to ALOT of shit. there's a track for like every emotion you can have. it's really great stuff. "porcelain" HAS to be song of the year IMO. I really suggest everyone check the album out cause it comes with a documentary dvd that really shows you how much work went into the record. THUMBS UP!!! lol I feel like ebert & roper right now, but i just had to tell someone lol

cool. yeah i had it on mp3 for a week but I only listened to a couple tracks that I was really feeling. i tried to keep the record fresh until i could see and hear the whole package. ive been a fan of those guys for a while so i check their message boards from time to time. but after seeing the dvd i was blown away by how detailed and musical the record is. i suggest you checkin that out after you listen to the record

shiv, wait till you hear this album. he totally sheds the whole 'fast rapper' persona and goes for the heart.

the thing really like about this record is that it fits all moods. edans record is good but its nowhere near as ambitious or sprawling as this album. this is the kind of stuff I can play with my windows down and still look like Im hip. lol

i think to really appreciate this record you have to listen to alot of different genres. for me it's perfect because i enjoy hip-hop and rock and electronic music so its a perfect blend of all 3 for me. if you just want the same old boom-bap rap then yeah you probably wont like it.

I find it fucking hilarious that this was directed to Chase.
