No shit. "but he has family values, and he's gonna get out us out that war thing soon".

We're watching Love, Actually now for the thirteenth time because it beat watching Bush. I am pissed though that the OC was screwed over for this.

Can't wait to see Jon rip him a new one.

OC:

Don't worry, you didn't miss much. The ep sucked. If that's in consolation, You'll get to see two new eps next week instead of one.

The Daily Show writers literally have a mountain of gold to work with after that news conference.

It was so embarrasing. :ashamed:

the entire q & a part was pretty much a highlight reel:

Quote:
Q: Your top military officer, General Richard Myers, says the Iraqi insurgency is as strong now as it was a year ago. Why is that the case? And why haven't you been more successful in limiting the violence?

BUSH: I think he went on to say we're winning, if I recall.

But, nevertheless, there are still some in Iraq who aren't happy with democracy. They want to go back to the old days of tyranny and darkness and torture chambers and mass graves.

I believe we're making really good progress in Iraq, because the Iraqi people are beginning to see the benefits of a free society. They saw a government form today.

i mean, you know....i know for me, i'm gonna risk MY life so that others have the tyranical authority to torture others

My main problem was that I didn't hear anything I hadn't heard before. The whole thing was obviously an attempt at stopping his declining poll numbers.

i got all excited when he started talking about Energy, but then he didn't really say much of anything. Not a single word about how it was really going to happen.

has anyone been following the whole story about the three people in Denver who were ejected from a Bush social security meeting because of a No Blood for Oil bumper sticker that was on the car they drove to the event in? And they still haven't figured out who exactly threw them out, since the guy claimed to be secret service and both secret service and the area's rep. party both deny knowing who this guy is and that he must be white house. ugh.

anyway, was last night's thing a pre-screened audience? I read somewhere it was scripted, but Bush looked genuinely hurt at that "cheap shot" question, didn't he?

The offensive thing is that this tard only deigns to even participate in a news conference b/c his entire admin and party is on the skids right now.

What an effing joke. I can't believe this simian fool was reelected.

I thought I saw somewhere that they figured out the guy was a leader of the Colorado Young Republicans or somethin' . Admittedly, I just kinda scanned the article I'm talking about.

Although he DID nail a Bizzaro World Scrabble Triple Word Score for mispronouncing the words "nuclear" & "peninsula" in the same sentence.
