So last night, i'm sitting on the couch in the living room. A little mouse walks in from the hallway, casually just saunters his way through the middle of the living room floor, then walks under a closet door. A second later, he comes back out, sits in front of the closet door and stares at me. I make a sudden movement to scare him, and he just sort of casually begins walking over toward a pile of shoes by the front door. He explores around the shoes for awhile, climbs up over them, etc.

I make another sudden move, and he runs over behind some boxes beside the couch. A few seconds later, the little motherf**ker comes walking along the floor along the front of the couch. He's headed straight for my feet! I'm thinking "what the fuck is this mouse's problem?!" And I make another sudden movement. He turns back and scurries behind the couch. Friggin' thing was just gonna walk right over my feet.... or start chewin on 'em.... or climb up my pantleg...

I thought the little buggers where supposed to be skittish! Now I gotta try and sleep at night knowing there's vermin in the place that has NO PROBLEM just coming right up to me.

Damn, Polly's cat looks like a bruiser!

The last place I lived at became infested by mice -- the fuckers refused to pay rent, so I moved out. It was disgusting. Kill that lil' guy as soon as possible!

Sometimes they're just bold as hell like that. When I worked downtown in Athens, we had one that would walz in broad daylight, in the middle of the crowded resturaunt. Being located in the block of old downtown buildings means you can never be 100% rodent free, no matter what. But this one.. he was HUGE, and absolutely unafraid.

We named him Bitey.

Oh, that's not my cat--just a random google pic of a tough-looking kitty.

No, mine is certainly not a tough-guy cat. He is a full-on pansy-boy. I think he is the reincarnation of Oscar Wilde.

Although I can't really post a picture of mine (he's not on a website), this pic I found on google is a damn good approximation of look and demeanor. (Wouldn't you say, Ish?)

Both of our kitties would pounce like nothing else if they saw one. They pounce on their fake mice if a breeze blows them an inch.

Wally the 6 month old will attack anything. He also leaps up on top of and into our refrigerator if given the chance. And he sleeps under our covers on top of me. This morning I woke to find him underneath on top of my arm.

He also has taken up the habit of sitting in front of the computer monitor and whacking the cursor as it moves around the screen. He also tries to "catch" the screens when the sites are being changed.

And bluegrass drags his toys room to room in hopes of us playing with him.

I had a mouse in my last place.

I set a trap and put it under the sink and the next morning I checked the trap and there it was. It looked like a nice little animal, clean fur, cute little face, kinda fluffy. I felt bad about the whole thing.

Rats are something all together different though. If you ever see one hit it with a big stick.

Anybody ever see this shit? Peter Weller (Robocop) goes to war with this freakin' rat that is terrorizing him in his home. Ends with Weller suiting himself up commando style, complete with nail studded baseball bat and trashing his whole fuckin' house!

Do you guys remember this one? It was a God awful movie about giant-sized rats terrorizing Manhattan. They were really little dogs in disguise.

Not exactly a "mouse killing machine." She can F-up a bowl of catfood, though.

This is the one I rescued from the parking lot of my old job. Some A-hole dumped her there, in the midst of a busy parking lot, (it turns out) because she's pregnant a' hell and all of 8 months old. Kittens are due any day.

She's "due," according to the vet, as of like now. Every time she starts horkin' up a hairball or something I think "well, this is it," but so far no dice.

Dude, she friggin adorable, not to get all mushy or anything. Soo affectionate, so chill (could be the kittens she's lugging around, who knows). Good cat.

One of the vet techs has a barn, needs mousers, loves orange cats, etc. She'll take 2 or 3 whether they're orange too or not, and from the x-rays, it looks like there'll be 3 or 4 total (hard to say... spines stand out but it was pretty ambiguous). Then we'll have one, maybe 2 to give away. Could've been worse. Could've been like 7 or 8.

When I found her, she was outside the building, franticly pacing in front of the doors. She weighed next to nothing, and had burrs all matted up in her fur. There's no way in hell she'd eaten anything in a week at least. I left work, bought her food, and put her up in the break room. I called the Humane Society, since I already have 2 dogs and a cat, but they only had someone answering phones, nothing else. I brought her home, made her a nest in the garage (fleas/disease?), and tried to take her in the next morning, but the wife got one look at her and melted.

Animals: 4
People: 2

i think one of the cats in our house would fuck up some mice. the other two would probably just sit there or run away.

I'm glad I'm not the only person that takes pictures of their cats...
And about the mouse, you should try to tame him and then you could totally freak people out by having a mouse come at your will. It would be a really fun party trick! :)

Edit: I tried to post a photo of my cats, but I break everything I touch, so it didn't work...
