Emoh.

I'm digging it so far. Very folksy. He still has that great Lou Barlow voice.

Thoughts?

After the initial annoyance at how pleasant and sweet and mild and Triple A-friendly the whole thing thing is, the songs are growing on me.

I find it completely uninspiring.

well, it's definitely no bakesale, but it's good for mellow tuneage.

i thought it was ok, had one or two songs i liked. but i though the recording was bland (and hard to listen to for many songs in a row) i didn't like Eric's songs that much, but without him i thought the band really lost something.

i did liked the jason songs on bakesale.

No matter how much free time you've got on your hands, it is never a good idea to write a song about your kitty.

I used to take abuse about liking Pavement better than Sebadoh.

Fantastic record. The song writing is on point.

I loved Sebadoh and liked Folk Implosion but I can't get over how boring Lou Barlow's solo work is. There are a couple of songs on Emoh that are ok but overall, it's just a dull record. Not horrible, just boring. I like Round and Round (which isn't even his song), Catepillar Girl, and Holding Back the Year pretty well but Battle of Daykitty is simply unlistenable.

Technically it's "Round-N-Round," but yeah.
