Yep Matt, I got all those warnings too late.
Still, I got downtown and met Paul (f4df) at the Palmer House.
We started to take a walk to find someplace to eat before I just said, "Fuck it, let's hop in my car."

So we headed out to Ukranian Village to have BBQ at Smokedaddy, sittin' out on the sidewalk on Division.

Paul's a great guy and we had a pretty interesting conversation about stuff. And, once again I proved how huge a geek I am by serving as "Tour Guide to Inconsequential Landmarks". I really am too proud of this city.

Good conversation. Good food. Good beer (for f4df at least).
I highly recommend meeting this guy. He's good people.

And Paul, I was kicking myself all the way home for not asking you this:
What is your poster about?

Todd, i do the same thing with philly, point out he most inconsequential landmarks that only i seem to get a kick out of. Actually, i do it in Media too. I just need to find the street address of the COINTELPRO breakin and i'd have the BEST TOUR EVER.

Firmly ensconced in this mecca of urban prosperity, I am.

I've cut way back on shows this year as well, mostly because I got sick of dragging ass into work on a weekday after getting back from Detroit around 3 a.m.
Haven't been to Ann Arbor since Sept. when I saw the Electric Six and Dykehouse.

Shoot me a PM if something on the Blind Pig or Magic Stick sked catches your eye. I'm usually game for a show if I've got a partner in crime.
