EDIT: I'm also digging eels' "Ugly Love" a lot today as well, but Darrin seems to be on a power trip.

Tune of the day. Tune. One. Singular.

Letting you off with this would set a dangerous precedent. Before you know it people are going to be typing out lists.

Getting editing, buster!

That's OK; I took care of it. Less typo risk that way.

Good to hear. I haven't decided if I'll get this one or not. I liked Chain Gang pretty well but figured they'd probably fade away for me.

I haven't listened to any songs today except a live version of 'Just Like Heaven' from the Dinosaur Jr. reunion show in LA. I guess that's my song of the day.

This thread would be so much better if it was the Obner-Make-A-Mix variety...

it's a lot different from chain gang & whip it on. best way i can describe this album is that it has more of a 50s rockabilly vibe to it- "twangy" (like radcliffe said), minimal, less noisy (and less jesus & mary chain influenced). i like the different direction they took with this one.

A live Juniper (Damien Rice's old band) version of their song 'Never' with a bit of 'Always On My Mind' thrown in at the end.
