thank goodness for the i-pod, but the bastards told me to turn it off before the plane took off, even though we were just sitting there on the plane for an hour and half. grrr.

I've already stated here my contempt for those damn kiddie "cars" that Mom's and Dad's use to get there children around the supermarket. Yes, I realize they are a godsend for parents.

C'mon, kid, how about a game of chicken?

gee, who should i propose to first?

agreed and agreed. babies should not be at weddings and well, elvis has covered two birds with one stone as far as i'm concerned.
BUT
i cannot wait for you complaining fuckers to have your own kids and see how well you can "control" your kids--particularly from infancy to age three. um, yeah. kids are real predictable. good luck with that.

that was my whole beef! but then there I was in Once Upon a Time in Mexico with like a family of twelve behind me, kids aged 6months-12. It was one of the more disturbing moviegoing experiences of my lifetime.

chase, just set up a "nursery" somewhere comprised of a ditch and some rattlesnakes

oh i know that these godless, fatherless hellspawn cannot be controlled by either reason or rod, but i just can't see any reason that anyone would bring one to a wedding unless they really couldn't stand the idea that the bride was getting all the attention rather than their newest genital dropping.

In response to aaron: I know people can't control when their kid cries, I do have one of those kid things.

But, when they have an option that would mean the child had adequate care during that of the wedding and being insensitive about the situation and demanding rather enforcing that you're bringing said child then one does have a right to be a bit pissed off when people can't hear anything because the infant is screaming its head off.

(she didn't make any motion to REMOVE the child from the dinner reception, just sat there trying to quiet him in his stroller. )

ANyways, yeah the movie theatre thing bugs me too. It happens a lot around here. We took Charlie to see Spiderman 2 last year and there were two infants/toddlers in the same family and they screamed off and on throughtout the film.

WORST, was when this idiot brought his 8 yr old(seemed about the right age) son to see Sin City and I sat there watching the child whimper and flinch throughout the whole film while dad did nothing. I almost went to get the manager of the theatre.

parents are idiots.
why they think everyone should be subjected constatly to their children is beyond me.

kids do not belong at weddings unless asked. kid's hate being there. like i want to deal with a whining kid (little or big) while drinking champagne. total buzz kill.

kids do not belong at the movies until they are at least three. it's dark and scary and loud. now in the case of a kid's film and you've got 4 kids and the youngest is an infant i get it. it's a kid's movie and kid's talk and scream and make noise. if you want to see the incredibles, go to the ten o'clock show instead of saturday at noon.

grocery store is fair game. it's every man for himself.

airplanes? kid's cry. you do your best and just keep chanting "i will never see these people again. i will never see these people again."

what else we got? move over dr. phil. ayah's in the house.

oh and thanks cotton. that's a few notches over ernest borgnine.

I didn't say infants. Maybe you should have read that closer. I was thinking more of the "controlable age" And to reinforce Charli's thougts, the removal from said place is always an option.

I'd rather shit the bed every night for the rest of my life than ever hear "Desperado" again.

Not a Radiohead fan, either.

Justin Timberlake is the only artist I can think of that I really, really hate. Well, him and Paul McCartney.

Beach Boys and The Pretenders are great.

I think I hate a lot of bands, but my reaction then is to ignore them which takes no energy, so it's not a very effective act of hatred.

Back on topic, I really hate the Beach Boys too. And anyone that says Brian Wilson is a genius needs to ride the short bus to hell.
