I had New Kids on the Block and Kris Kross, but I think the first CDs I bought and enjoyed without trying to be cool were Better Than Ezra Deluxe and the Verve Pipe Villians. I still like Better Than Ezra and 'The Freshmen' by the Verve Pipe.

It had just been released. I thought they were a chicana girl group out of East Los until I saw the pic on the cover.
