Why would anyone want to watch this? We all know what's happening over there.

It's like one of my friends was always downloading those beheading videos and watching them and saying stuff like "it was really horrible, all the blood, I felt really sickened and shocked".

Watching a terrified guy get his head cut off with a bread knife is horrible! No way! I can figure that out myself. That's why I don't watch it.

i'm not sure that anyone complained, but rather just asked you why you would want to see this.

i've seen the footage. after watching it, its hard not to be as casual as you seem to be (and im not trying to make any judgement against you or anyone else, please believe that).

but if someone were to invade this country and kill a man in cold blood in a church on american soil, there would be hell to pay....how is this any different. and then for him to get a pass and not be brought up on charges is bullshit

America doesn't care if you kill people who aren't white or at least christian and never has. i just think that feigning surprise at this because this or any other video opened your eyes to the situation smacks either of deliberate naivete or willful ignorance.

Historically it seems to be that way, but I really believe Americans generally have their head up their asses to the extent that most don't care who in the hell is killed so long as it isn't "us" over "here". Despite Vonnegut, do we care about Dresden, Germany?

What all are failing to realize is that this shit happens. And, the only reason we are up in arms about it is that it is on video. I mean, in the same situation, any of would probably do the same thing, and I think a lot of these guys are showing some restraint. It can't be easy when you have no idea who your friends are. It's not like this guy went My Lai or anything.

i don't think that many people in this country actually believe this shit is going on, though. And while it certainly wouldn't have the same impact of an attack in Lawrence, KS, but the same can be said for lots of countries. Sure, we're the worst about it, but not the only ones by a longshot.
