i was just watched Sportscenter on ESPN, right before watching the Australian equvalent, Sports Tonight on what we call 'Channel 10'. What struck me was the difference in musical score between the two shows. Sportscenter plays...well i don't know what to call it, but it is some sort of patriotic 'American' music (you know, music that somehow reminds you of a bald eagle), with big guitar and big trumpets and stuff, while Sports Tonight plays Franz Ferdinand, New Order, Beck, and the Sleepy Jackson. I don't know why this is, because people who watch the show don't even listen to that sort of music.

i used to watch tsn in canada before they changed everything around so now theyre basically an espn sportscenter clone. they even share the same name. i now watch the score, which is much better. they cover the sports highlights, period. i dont want all that other crap they put on, its awful.

Not to take this thread off on a tangent, but I can't tell you the last time I watched more than 2-3 minutes of Sportscenter. It's so friggin' annoying. About all I can stomach anymore is ESPNews - & that's usually with the sound muted.
