The good news: that book Mix Tape: The Art of Cassette Culture, edited by Thurston Moore, is out.

The bad news: it's an epic 96 pages long, is essentially a scrapbook of people's handmade cassette covers and comments on the art of the mixtape, and though it features essays written by lots of intersting indievolks, they average about 3 paragraphs long. All of which wouldn't be so bad if the book were $12.98, but it's $22fucking.50.

Read it in the bookstore.
