i read siddhartha one night in college, and for some strange reason i felt the urge to sleep under a bench outside our library, in indiana, in december--my zen moment came when i woke up and 4 in the morning and ran inside.

i guess dont have what it takes to sit by the river

I got A's in my college philosophy course even though I never handed in any term papers. I "contributed substantially to in-class discourse." Which means I bullshitted real good-like.

Too bad math-science professors didn't have similar set-ups.

Some may say it's gnosticism even.

My parents had a page-a-day Zen calendar with quotes from such authorities as Charlie Parker in it. Awesome.
