oh, no doubt. but i was exaggerating to a degree. I really did love that band for a long time and had some great experiences at these shows. Also, i was never really out of control in or outside a show, generally the hotel afterwards is where all the crazy shit would happen. I was a model fan, i can assure you. and i still think the hippies sucked the whole thing up. That fan base is one of the worst if only because they overzealously applauded everything that band did and continued to kiss the ground they walked on even after their work started to go downhill. how many times can a vacuum solo be funny? answer: once. Granted, there was no drums/space level of bullshit, but there was a lot of overplaying regardless.
while i'd like to think it was me and not the fucking dirty retards who bring their children on tour wiuth them to hock grill cheeses out of the back of their station wagon ruined phish, i'm not gonna. them and the trust fund hippies that spent more time talking about who gets better pot through the show they travelled 600 miles to see.

How many 45 minute songs did you really see? Honestly. 45 minutes. Be honest.

again, my penchant for exaggeration. i'd say at least half of their catalogue runs over 10 minutes live, to be honest.. i don't think i ever saw a YEM that was under 20 minutes. honestly. when my friends took me to see a show in '98 i had to watch trey loop his guitar for at least 8 minutes, and that was just the solo. it was when they stopped playing the fun short songs like Suzy Greenberg that i stopped giving a shit.

Hope you and the Kappas had a blast.......

i don't even know what that fucking means.

Saw him twice, "Sound and Vision", way up front at Giants Stadium (which was still pretty far away). This had been billed as the last time Bowie would trot out the old Mainman catalogue. Show rocked, set list rocked, it was cool.

Second time was with Tin Machine at The Ritz, after they had moved into the old Studio 54. Me, Bowie and Soupy Sales' kids, and only 999 or so other people. You can't beat that.
