find out where monty lives, draw a 20-mile diameter around it, then live outside that area.

I'm gonna need some specifics: price range, smoker?, when you're coming (oh, nevermind, july), pets?, that kind of thing before I start looking. The Cap'N is out of town for the week so he'll have to catch up when he gets back. His wife is the QUEEN of finding good deals on apartments though, so I wouldn't be suprised if she actually finds you something decent.

Just curious though, what brings you to Madison?

i'm looking for a place downtown, price is not really an issue, but something within reason, obviously. i smoke, but that doesn't matter either, no pets, parking would be nice and i would like a furnished place, as i really don't want to haul all my stuff up there for just six months. and i don't mind living with strangers. guys, preferably, as i have found they are way easier to live with.

i lived in madison and went to school there (sort of) for five years, but i didn't quite graduate, and i've been living in iowa for the past year. i'm going back to finish up those last 18 pesky credits and (finally) get my degree.

thanks for the help, guys! :)

Madison is ninety miles from me, so she'll be safe.

So, don't worry, Laur.

Oh here this thread is... how did this escape me?!? Wait, I was outta town. Sorry.

Ok, so downtown, price negotiable, willing to keep the cigarettes outside, no pets... yes I can work with that. Lemme look. I'm going to prefer the near east side, because it is the bomb, but I'll look in central downtown too.

More later. And Kickass, by the way!! Obnerites is good folk.

This is very near westside, at 218 S. Bassett. Mapquest link...

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&formtype=address&searchtype=address&cat=&address=218%20S%20Bassett%20St&city=Madison&state=WI&zipcode=53703%2d3672&searchtab=home

The phone # is 608-826-0699... they don't list a price, but it's furnished, and meant for grad students, which will mean it's quieter, better-maintained, and a little pricier. And your riiight next to campus / downtown.

F WANTED by F. 700 block E. Johnson. Free off-st. parking. Avail Now-Aug. $388/mo. Call Meg 608-469-1721

That's a good locale, and the parking is important over there... street parking downtown is a bitch, which I learned renting on North Pinkney a few years back. There are spots at 6:05pm, but none at 6:15pm. Oh but you wanted males... well dangit.

Hell, if all else fails, we live south of town in Oregon. It's a 15 minute commute, and the place is loaded with animals lately, but it's better than sleeping at the bus station!

Yup, students go away, the smoking ban takes effect soon, I should be either employed or accepted at school... good time to visit for sure. Plus you got a free room in town if you so chose.

July 1st is when it's scheduled to be enforced. There's still some back-n-forth, but with any luck it'll happen then.

I was in the Ambassador on N. Pinkney, the 6-story old brick thing down by the lake. You could park nextdoor until 7am, and then they'd tow you. I didn't work till 10, so it really, really blew if something held me up at work. I could just feeeel the spots disappearing.

Yup, Oregon is about 7 miles from downtown, usually a 15 minute trek. Busty and I play a bar right off the square every thrusday (the one Chase briefly popped into), and it takes me no more than that every week.

I can, and I share it... think of where you're moving from.

That makes 3 Madison Obners.

Bring it!

Daaang, state street... you're not kidding around.

It is you, I'm afraid, who will be getting the Rawk.
