WhirlyBall, dubbed "The worlds only totally mechanized team sport" is best described as a combination of Hockey, Lacrosse, Basketball and Polo played while riding an electrically powered machine, similar to a bumper car, called a WhirlyBug™. Although the WhirlyBug™ resembles a bumper car, it is a far superior machine. Quicker, stronger and far more maneuverable, the WhirlyBug™ powers you and your team down court in a fast paced, fun filled five on five game.

I am going to whirly the shit out of my balls.

I played two weeks ago. It was a blast. They also just added a laser tag set-up that's pretty fun after some whirleyball and booze.

The gut in the middle looks severely handicapped. In the abstract this game looks cool, though.

I think you could simplify that description to:

Actually, we've got Whirleyball out here in Seattle too - it is a TON of fun....but ours seems to be more expensive than yours :(

Yeah, I'm guessing if Indianapolis ever did join the Whirleyball revolution it would be far too expensive for me to ever justify.

I'm not sure if you're referring to my post or not, but it's the Laser Tag that's only $5 per person.

Whirley ball is $10 per person for each half hour or you can rent the court for like $200 an hour (price works out basically the same since 10 people can play).

The basketball part applies though because you're shooting at basketball backboards to score, not Lacrosse goals. They've just got a hole cut where the square would be instead of a hoop.
