ever since i've first started listening to "absolution", i've been looking for an affordable copy of "origin of symmetry". FINALLY found an ebay copy for $4.99 (w/2.25 shipping). damn thing usually goes for $16+. i thought they were going to release it domestically, but i didn't want to wait.

now i don't have to. :)

Is it better than the second one? I really like Absolution, but Showbiz seems a bit . . . I don't know . . . schmaltzy? Maybe that's too strong a word, but it evokes those kinds of feelings.

And I haven't seen Origin cheaper than $30 locally, so even $16 would be a steal to me.

"showbiz" came off a bit flat & unfocused to me. i love "absolution" and heard "origin" is much more like absolution than their first.

Origin is their finest hour IMO [and Absolution is a fucking brilliant album!].
