I give my seal of approval to three of those selections.

Things I got from emusic when I was a member, though I am not anymore.

Oranges Band :: All Around
RIYL: Slightly off-kilter yet tight Indie Rock, Spoon, "Game of Pricks"

Ass Ponys :: Lohio and Grim
RIYL: Rock with a countryish tinge and clever songwriting; Neil Young; Wilco

Doleful Lions :: Motel Swim and Rats Are Coming...
RIYL: Poppier Indie Rock, B-Movies, Apples In Stereo

New Race :: First And Last
RIYL: Radio Birdman + MC5 + Stooges = New Race

There's also a Badman Recording Co. tribute to John Denver with a killer cover of "I'm Sorry" by Red House Painters.
