That's what I touched on about the fast forward/MTV editing pace. It's made for folks w/ ADD.
Think about Eps IV and V especially, where there were scenes that were deliberate, just oozed personality (Mos Eisley, most dialogue on/around the Millenium Falcon) and let the characters carry the story forward. The movies had to have a certain amount of personality and story logic because Lucas couldn't cover up the flaws w/ special effects flash like he does now.
Seriously, every time I started to think, "wait a minute..." or things dragged at all, someone started tossing a light saber around to grab my attention again or make me forget the story/logic gaps.

They polished the turd up nice and bright, but it's still a turd.

03) every single main character from the original trilogy was in the new-old trilogy except han solo. what's with that? just way too much coincidence.

About paladisiac's point 2: I think Kenobi could be forgiven for not considering Leia. The Jedi order seemed to have a very sexist/sausage-fest aspect to it.
