Yeah, was there a "Gay Skeletor" episode that didn't air in the US or something?

Wish I could do it, Ryan.
But the 35-mile hike up I-294 is fairly prohibative.

Great job, Ryan! I swear, you're going to love not having to pay for gasoline or mass transit fares! Wish I could ride to work, but it's not a very easy or direct ride, and there are no showers here at work!

You should also check and see if your work has any sort of employee incentive programs for bike riders. Now granted, I'm in tree-hugging granola Oregon, but there is a bill that our Congressman Earl Blumenhauer is backing where he's trying to make employers reimburse employees for riding their bikes to work instead of driving.

They have proposed a similar bill in the armpit of America South Carolina, so its not completely out of the question that Illinois would have it too.

yeah, i'm looking forward to saving money from not having to ride the L, not to mention cramming into a crowded car during rush hour. So far, I've gotten lucky that the weather has been nice and cool during the mornings so I haven't sweat my ass off yet. but i did bring my work clothes in my bag today.

I think this wins you points with the single ladies at most work places, too. Just don't get all proud of yourself and start wearin spandex.

Yup, I wear something similar under shorts for longer rides. Saves both my anatomy and my dignity.

You can wear that, but only if it's ALL you're wearing. Otherwise it doesn't work.

i really want to start doing this as i'm only 9 miles from work each way. but there are no showers here, and i'm the type who will just keep sweating all day long without one.

i'll have to give it a go on a cooler morning.

Hey, some guys I know swear by these things, but I personally see a chafing issue happening there. Time to break out the band-aids on the nips!

My husband rides to and from work without taking a shower, but then he's got that sexy, musky scent going on, not flat-out stanky b.o. ;)

btw, I always heard that the reason sweat stinks is based not on activity level, but stress level. Think about it-- when you have sex, you don't smell horrible, but when you're running in a race, or trying to get to your air-conditioned office building on a 100+ degree day, you do.

They have one where I work down here in CA...

I've been doing the 8 mile ride in/ride home about 2x/wk. for a month or so... Not too bad, but Los Angeles drivers are insane...

Interesting fact is that last week was national bike to work week.

dnorwood, of course you would support Sugoi. Canadian loving hippy. Just kidding, Team Maxxis which I handle from our corporate end uses Sugoi and I have a bunch of it. Good stuff.

Actually the real reason I like Sugoi is because a friend of mine who owns an athletic apparel shop can order me stuff for half-price. I have some Pearl Izumi stuff too, but nothing real high end. Cycling apparel can be out of this world on pricing. But yes, I do love Canadians although I would not consider myself a hippie. Ever been to Vancouver BC before? You'd be hard-pressed to find an overweight, unattractive person wandering the streets there, that's for sure.

If I went to Vancouver I woudl probably be retardedly stoned. My friends just ran a marathon there and loved it. I really would like to go. Probably in winter, though. Whistler, you know.

Oh yeah, there is also the weed factor. I don't smoke anymore, so it doesn't make a difference to me, but for people who do, it's heaven, I've heard. Summers in Vancouver are amazing, just beautiful. Never been to Whistler but have heard great things about it.
