I was thinking of re-upping - but is it just me or do the selections blow now?

Any suggestions?

I mean right now, Im staring at Yes and Steely Dan... (and the Byrd's Mr Tambourine Man)

Get lots of jazz:

Jimmy Smith "The Sermon"
Sonny Rollins "Saxophone Collosus" or "Tenor Madness"
Lou Donaldson "The Natural Soul"
Miles Davis "In A Silent Way", "On the Corner", "Bitches Brew", "Kind of Blue"
Sonny Clark "Cool Struttin'"
Bill Evans "Waltz with Debby"
Cannonball Adderley "Mercy Mercy Mercy"
John Coltrane "A Love Supreme"
Hank Mobley "Soul Station"
stan getz & joao Gilberto S/T with jobim
Dexter Gordon "Go"
Herbie Hancock "Headhunters" Herbie Hancock "Maiden Voyage"

If you don't have much jazz, there's enough jazz in bmg's catalog to keep you busy for many quit & reups

The Byrds "Tambourine Man" is a good choice also

i found enough to do a 12-for-1 thing early this year and, if they ask me back for the same deal, i could probably find another 12 later this year, if only to complete my bowie collection

BMG is always good if you're not just looking for "R&R". Lots of pretty good soul, jazz, reggae, motown, country, R&B etc. to be found.

I think that BMGs international music selection is alright especially at those prices.

they don't have stuff from the international end of BMG available in the US club. It's only stuff that has been released stateside. I want them to make available stuff that is on their label, but European.

or am I wrong?

I'd assume he meant International as in world music genre not as in imports.

Stuff like

Youssou N'Dour
Buena Vista Social Club
Ibrahim Ferrer
Oumou Sangare

etc etc etc
