The new Eels album is highly recommended for the type of event you're planning.

I'm just loving the hell out of Stars' Set Yourself on Fire right now. I envision leisurely summertime slacking with this album. But it might be too low-key.

Although for just hanging around and goofing off, my personal favourites are Pavement's first two albums. Maybe those are obvious no-brainers, but I can't recall your particular tastes.....
