i'm definitely interested in finding out more about him solely due to the involvement of Kanye, but i've only heard that 'used to love you' song. Is he credible?

when i was 10 i wrote a short story about a football player name John Legend, the greates DT ever in the history of football. He played for the Raiders and helped them win the superbowl.

it was my #20 album from 2004. I think it's real good. wouldn't be THAT high, but I think the guy is definitely a shining light in the r&b world.

The album's ok, but it's not essential. You might want to download it first.

it's probably the best soul album by an Ivy Leauge graduate.

It's very good. Not what I listen to on a regular basis, but very good.

I find the songwriting boring, the lyrics trite, and the general sounds on the album, especially the piano, to be lacking richness.

Go back and buy Me'shell Ndegeocello's Peace Beyond Passion or Bitter if you want some R&B Soul to feed your whole being. Or Raphael Saadiq, or Rasaan Patterson.

As with almost every genre, I find that the real gems get looked over horribly. Well, most of the real gems.

in other news, a friend just lent me the Game - the documentary, and it's pretty good for mainstream hip-hop. I deduced that Fiddy is bearable provided he's in a 'featuring' slot, rather than on his own solo work. mmmhmmmmm

what i meant was, it's pretty good compared to most other mainstream hip-hop. The way i worded it made me sound like a bitch.

By mainstream i mean Ja Rule-stream, which The Game isn't, but, it's just.....errr.......DIG UP, DIG UP! ok just disregard everything

though i don't own many mainstream hip-hop records, i like what i hear nearly most of the time. It would have to have the most balanced goodness to success ratio out of any genre.

But Australian mainstream hip-hop is NOT the shiznit.

Does anyone know how Anthony Hamilton's album is? I was watching the new Chappelle Show dvd and he was one of the musical guests.

i have a sampler of Anthony Hamilton with four or five songs, that was the only one that jumped out at me. I like his voice though.

I remember that performance. I thought it was awesome. Never got around to checking into the CD though...

Jaheim is a lesser known well known RnB singer who i like very much.

he falls closer to the R Kelly school than souloquarian school, but he also has a certain classic sound about him.

check out the song "Fabulous"
in fact, i think i'll listen to it right now.

If I didn't already know that you're 100% sincere (and right, too), that post would sound majorly snooty.
