White tennis shoes in general, unless Pumas or Adidas Stan Smith's should = INSTANT DEATH. So should the Doc Marten style Mandals that would make my feet hotter than wearing Redwings in the summer.

The height of white man shmucker fashion.

Good call considering I own the old Stan Smith's

I see only two routes, both of which are so endangered I can't find pictures.

1. Pol Pot Sandals, made from a tire.

2. These flip flops they had at Nordstrom a few years ago with actual carpet on the insole, so it was like you were walking inside, even when outside.

Not sure if this is what you're thinking of, but I've had a pair of these Doc Marten's for 11 years and they're still hanging in there. Best money I've ever spent on shoes.

i had a pair of these when i was younger. They are the most comfortable muh'fuckers you'll ever wear on your feet. They, like, mold ergonomically to your foot, and after you wear them in, it's like an orgasm with every step. I grew out of them though...

No, actually they're not. They're seriously not hot at all, but are a bit heavy. Fashionwise? I don't give a fuck. Anything that doesn't break down or fall apart on me after 11 years gets a fucking pass. Same with my Pumas (black suede), they're 8 years old.

I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. Destroy these immediately.

Im with the toughness factor. Maybe not my cup of tea fashionwise but not the end of the world.. Plus, how hot and for long can it really get in Canada?

Depends on where you are. In Calgary we'd expect snow in August. Out in TO it can be horribly muggy and hot (35C) for weeks on end during the summer.

Those are way more gay-ass than sandals. But I got flipflops from the same company.

And you're right, they're extremely comfortable.

Seriously though, you don't think a dude walking around a beach town in those would look dumber than a dude in flipflops?

You can get this sorta thing for cheap. Just promise not to wear socks with 'em.

I mow the lawn in something like that. Which is probably unsafe.

nah, they just look like sneakers. i've seen other ones with laces and shit so maybe those would look more normal. plus you can just wear these in the water.

Y'all keep saying gay ass like there's something wrong with such a thing.

Dumpjack, those are damn ugly, but I hear you on the eleven years. My six year old tevas are staying, grotesque though they may be. Derris, what's your excuse on those frat-boy adidas?

I think the most fashion-forward option is that keen footwear stuff, or the rainbows if you're a little more traditional.
