But "most"...? You've got to be kidding me.

I had meant to reply to this before . . . but . . . whatever. I'm saying "starting over" for a reason - which I think I stated, but I'll restate: There are things you buy that, for whatever reason, you simply can't part with, but never listen to, and never would buy or want again. Or maybe it's just me. But were a fire to take out my collection, I'd be upset for a short time, then I'd take my home-owners insurance check and go buy what was truly important to me again . . . and not buy a lot of what's weighing down my collection at the moment. And, of course, buy a lot of other stuff to take the place of what I don't replace. I can't be the only one who's felt like this, and I was just curious if any of you fellow music-freaks had ever felt the same way. And if you had, if you'd done anything about it.

Be sure to post those unwanteds if you do go through with the exodus.

just wanted to re-emphasize this.

Message received. When I get enough time, I'll be going through and seeing what's dumpable. I'll post a list on Obner with the results. Keep them eyes open, it'll probably be coming sometime soon.

Is this a good idea? How long does the quality of CD-R last? Some of my oldest burns no longer play.

Sounds like we need some kind of support group for this. I too have been experiencing thoughts of downsizing my collection.

Not me, I don't have this problem!

No, I am not in denial; no, I'm not.
