nah, not really. The Bears are a mediocre team getting slaughtered by an excellent one. Shitty teams don't win 4 out of 9 games. They win 1 or 2.

Briggs dropping that pick / TD killed any hope we had.

Kasim Mitchell is Stan Thomas bad.

that, and the fumble that todd johnson could have fell on but instead pushed out of bounds.

The Colts aren't an excellent team, but they're solid, and their defense is waking up over the last couple games.

Beating the Colts is just a matter of having the offense to have a big shootout.

Our defense made a couple of good stops.

We're still fucked though.

Dude i've been a falcons fan for 25+ years--the worst franchise in nfl history so dont take it personally when i say again---yalls team sucks

First of all, If you think Urlacher is the best player on the Bears, no offense, but you obviously don't know SHIT about the Bears.

Urlacher isn't even the best LINEBACKER on the Bears right now. He is the most overrated defensive player of the last five years. Look at his stats and then look at how many better middle linebackers there are in the NFC. He doesn't even crack the top three in that Conference. He is an above average football player. He is not elite. He developed that reputation with two coke machines (Traylor and Washington) stuffing the middle up so he could roam side to side and since those two tackles have been gone he has been reduced to what he really is....a safety playing out of position.

Mediocre is not shitty. You are implying they are one of the worst teams in the NFC. They are obviously NOT that. The Bears are a far better team right now than the 49ers, Redskins, Saints, Cardinals and Cowboys. They will probably go 7-9 or at worst 6-10. That is not a shitty team.

whos better on your defense? and what linebacker in the league (raylewis included ) isnt made better by a couple of bulls at DT? sorry for your buyers remorse about your team but as bill parcells says, "you are what you are"--and if you think 7-9 is good; fine; i say that sucks..aspire for something bigger.

Spade, I think you are missing the forest for the trees here, bra. The Bears are a team that has been in complete disarray for years, and despite the new coach, a tragic stadium redesign and passionate fans, is not headed for the playoffs any time soon. Sorry, its the truth. Craig fucking Krenzel is yr. QB, 'Nuff said...

Next stop, suck city.

Dude...our starting quarterback is Rex Grossman. He was injured in the third game of the season.

I'll bet anyone any amount of money that provided that Grossman is healthy all next year the Bears will make the playoffs.

I love the Bears and what they are doing. If Grossman was healthy they would be 7-3 right now.

Also, Lance Briggs is a better linebacker than Brian Urlacher

Even any casual fan of the Bears know that

to answer your question though, the two best defensive players for the Bears right now are Tommie Harris and Alex Brown. The best player offensively is Thomas Jones, and if he had any kind of a qb, he would be on pace for 1300+. As it is, he'll still probably get close to 1000.

i was thinking about spade kitty's post about how the bears are mediocre with a solid defense and solid running game as i watched the colts pick them apart. i'm sorry man, but the bears are in the cellar of the nfl along with the niners and, unfortunately, my hurting dolphins. the colts put almost 300 yard rushing up on your solid defense. your QB situation is worse than miami's. if miami would stop spotting the oppostion 7 points by throwing pick's returned for TD's, they would easily have won a 2-3 more games. and i really don't want to hear about injuries. miami is playing guys that weren't even on the team 3 weeks ago.
i am drunk, and pissed off about another shitty miami game that was in their hands to win, and lost due to a shitty interception returned for a TD. but bottom line is, the dolphins suck ass...as do the shitty chicago bears.

Seahawk fan here, checking in. Seattle was very fortunate to have won that game---about as ugly a win as I've seen lately, but I'll take it. Despite the pick, that was a pretty gutty performance by Feely, don't you think?

Seattle may be the worst division leader I've seen in a long time. And yeah, this is the weakest NFC I can remember in the 25 years I've been following the NFL.

definitely a gutty performance by feely, but he's had 4 starts, and 4 INT's returned for TD's. it's hard for me to give him credit for anything.
not to mention mare's missed FG, and the turnover in the redzone in the first half.

you're right though, it's been a long time since the AFC was this much better than the NFC.

We are playing without our starting qb and have been since week 3. How can I make this more clear.

Did you actually see anything when grossman was playing?

WE KICKED THE PACKERS' ASS IN WEEK 2. It wasn't a squeaker. It was an ASS KICKING. Since then, special teams and defense have won 3 in a row WITHOUT AN OFFENSE.
