Small Penis? Add Seven-Inches with the Summer of Xiu Xiu!!
Hot damn!! Although Xiu Xiu has been busy recording and touring all year, it seems that things are about to get even more hopping in the land of Xiu Xiu! Theatric chaos pop for all!! First of all, the band plans to keep busy for a good chunk of the summer by touring, hitting most of the traditional indie rock towns in America and even jaunting up into Canada for a little Francophonic love!!! But it doesn't end there!! No, no!! On July 12th, Xiu Xiu will release La Foret, its impatiently awaited follow-up to last year's Fabulous Muscles [TMT Review]! And you better believe that the new album will be released by 5RC, the Kill Rock Stars noise imprint!!
Sometime later this year, the much-talked about Xiu Xiu/Devendra Banhart 7-inch will be unleashed upon all you unsuspecting fools! Xiu Xiu will cover "Body Breaks!" Devendra will cover "Support our Troops!" One weird band (which is essentially the brainchild of one weird dude -- Jamie Stewart), covering and being covered by one weird dude (Devendra Banhart -- who is probably a few weird dudes pack't into one body)!! Also, if all went according to plan, Xiu Xiu should be wrapping up the recording stage of a collaborative album with the band Larsen!! Also also, the complete works of Ten in the Swear Jar (the previous band of Stewart and fellow Shoe Shoer Cory McCullough) will be released on Asian Man records on July 26th!! So much news it turns me into Joey Lawrence!! Woah!!
