As promised, here are a few photos from my trip to Scotland. Hope you enjoy!

View of Lochalsh from the Eilean Donan Castle.

Scotland is full of tales regarding faeries -- this large rock formation was referred to as a 'faerie castle'.

Awesome Highlands view.

Nice photos, Aural. This wouldn't happened to have been the Haggis tour, was it?

These photos are of one of my favourite spots visited -- Coral Beach on the Isle of Skye. You had to make a 30 minute walk off a small road to this beach which was a tiny spot on the northern part of the island -- the sand is made of small shells that have been broken up and eroded over the years that have a pink tinge to it. It was an absolutely beautiful sight and the place I plan on building my summer home on. :)

Nope, it was the Wild in Scotland tour aimed at younger tourists and those who are travelling independently.

You sayin' Haggis attracts only the extinct who prefer the group tourbus?

Ever meet a hairy coo? This is Hamish. The babies are absolutely adorable -- furry and very cute.

Ha! Dunno about that, but I liked the tour I took -- compared to other tour groups I checked out, they were less expensive and provided more interesting spots to go to. And, had smaller groups vs large tourbus type of tours.

Those are great pics, T. Really spectacular views. I hope I can get some to rival those on my own journey when I get over there.

I really like that first one -- I'm a sucker for nature shots.

Now I wanna go to Scotland.

Since we're posting pictures of Scotland I'll stick this one up. It's me and my dad up Beinn Vrackie when I was about 10 or so (judging by the bowl cut).

I think my wife took that Haggis Tour when she was there for school. She loved it, whatever it was, because they let you walk around on your own, much like what you're describing. Glad you had fun, and thanks for posting pics!

Tania !

wow... gorgeous shots.

It's funny about the "faerie castle".

When we were in Ireland we kept hearing about them. Yet never saw a one. We heard that only horses and I think rabbits can see Faeries? did you hear that?

The best thing about your pictures on here, is they all have nice composition.
Nice focal points. Really, very nice. I am sure you didnt get to sit around all day for good lighting, yet yours look very nice in the available light...

My two faves. are the horizontal beach home view one, and the wild haired cow one. Even Scotish Cows have red hair!

Thanks, m'dear!

Regarding the faeries, we were told that when you were invited into faerieland, you were obliged to live there for seven years. Once that time was over with, you could return to your own world. There was a condition, though -- you were not allowed to speak while in faerieland. If you did, you were 'doomed' to eternity to live in their world.

And I'm glad to know that all my photography courses paid off! ;)

Great pics. I, too, really like the first one a lot, although they're all good.
