which provides more manly fun? as a sidebar there's so little on tv that i'm watching an Arizona/Texas softball game and fantasizing that some of the cuter ones are lesbians.

Macho factor is much higher in the batting cages, but I find the driving range and golf more cathartic. No doubt I'm in the minority here.

yeah i like (and suck at) both but i'm thinking that a batting cage may indeed rend my back from the rest of my body. it may be time to swallow my youth and learn to play golf.

From a femme's perspective, I find guys at batting cages sexier than the driving range. Then again, maybe it's cuz I found myself at many a batting cage during my softball playing years.

Driving Range.

I'm no golfer, but you are in control at the driving range. Your own pace, your own setup, whatever.

With the batting cage, the machine sets the pace and if that fucker is off in anyway it's not fun at all. Unless you have your own bat you are also at the mercy of their selection, which could be utter crap. I also played in h.s. and hated hitting in the cage every practice.

Also, it's 100x times funnier when you swing and miss a golf ball.

Dudes older than 25 have no business at a batting cage. What this probably says about you is that you play Sunday morning softball and are trying too hard. Softball is fine but don't be "Softball Guy"

The driving range is oddly relaxing even if you suck. (like me)

i pretty much agree with all this, but still, i feel my youth slipping away and spending a minute in the batting cage sounds like it would be fun. i should probably just start doing both everyday after work.

Batting cages, because there's at least the possibility of massive head trauma.

So there's this enormous driving range not far from here--two to three dozen booths, so many that the thing is double decker. I've seen it nearly full, and what I want to know is, with that many people hitting little white balls in the same direction at the same time, how the fuck can you see where yours comes down?

Driving range, because if you suck at baseball (like I do), at least you get to hit the golf balls (even if you just top it or it goes at a 90 degree angle away from the tee).

Gotta be the driving range, especially since my golf swing is all messed up right now.

They aren't "Battling Cages", the correct term is Atlaspheres. Duh.

I guess I'd choose the batting cages but be prepared to be sore for a few days if you haven't played baseball/softball in awhile. I was having trouble hitting the 50 mph ones and I didn't even venture near the 90+ cages.

Driving ranges are fun but I absolutely suck at golf so everything I hit went off to the right. What's that called anyways? Slicing?

The only enjoyment I got out of the driving range was, when realizing that I couldn't hit anything straight, I just tried to hit it as high as I could off to the right and see if it would go over the giant net and into the parking lot.

The only batting cage in town closed when the manager's son spent all the profits on coke and hussies.

So I vote driving range.

I suck at both, but I like baseball more than golf. Batting cage.

I would've taken the batting cages all day long until I went to thew driving range for the first time. It is very relaxing. And for the most part I don't have to listen to a bunch of whiney little assholes running around all over the place.

Plus I like the amount of concentration that the driving range takes. It's nice.
