I've done a mediocre job of listening to new albums so far this year. Here's what I have listened to so far - what am I grievously missing? Thanks.

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead: Worlds Apart
Al Green: Everything's Okay
Antony and the Johnsons: I Am a Bird Now
Beck: Guero
Andrew Bird: The Mysterious Production of Eggs
The Books: Lost and Safe
Bright Eyes: Digital ash in a Digital Urn
Bright Eyes: I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
Common: Be
The Deathray Davies: The Kick and The Snare
The Decemberists: Picaresque
The Detroit Cobras: Baby
Edan: Beauty and the Beat
Eels: Blinking Lights and Other Revelations
Engineers: Engineers
The Fiery Furnaces: EP
The Golden Falcons: The Honduras Album
Gorillaz: Demon Days
Petra Haden: Sings the Who Sell Out
Iron & Wine: Woman King
Low: The Great Destroyer
Magnolia Electric Co: Trials and Errors
Magnolia Electric Co: What Comes After the Blues
The Mars Volta: Frances The Mute
Okkervil River: Black Sheep Boy
Prefuse 73: Surrounded By Silence
Sage Francis: A Healthy Distrust
Sleater-Kinney: The Woods
Spoon: Gimme Fiction
Sufjan Stevens: Illinois

I vote:

M.I.A., Arular (UK hype, deservedly)
Architecture in Helsinki, In Case We Die (Australian insanity)
Nine Inch Nails, With Teeth (better than you'd expect)
Steven Malkmus, Face the Truth (return to form, or watever)
Of Montreal, The Sunlandic Twins (like AiH, but dancier)
The Go-Betweens, Oceans Apart (not boring)
Animal Collective feat. Vashti Bunyan, Prospect Hummer EP (like more Sung Tongs)
Blueprint, 1988 (best strictly rap album I've heard)

I really need Vitalic.

That's me told. I guess I'll over-ride my own personal opinion and smash it to smithereens immediately.

Raveonettes--Pretty In Black--more wistful, slightly more 50s influenced version of the first LP.

Electrelane--Axes--if you liked their first record, you'll probably like this one. If you really liked the last record, this might be a little harder for you. In short, mostly instrumental and moody but not as dark as the first LP--some pop influences that were seen on the second.

I really didn't like it much---they've gone over the top for preciousness on this one for me.

Their Jack-Handy-esqe visuals in the background at their Coachella performance didn't help matters either---it raised the saccharine level to new heights.

A grower. Didn't think much of it at first then I latched on to a song (In The Pines) and then the next time an other song and then the next time and other song and so forth.

I just read up on this guy. Sounds great. If you went ahead and posted one of the tracks here, I wouldn't mind.
