Has anyone ever heard of this guy? I was reading a review of the Heavy Trash album on allmusic and they referrenced this guy, so I checked out what they had to say about him. Here's a bit of their description...

"Hasil Adkins was a one of a kind rockabilly lunatic whose life and music were bizarre enough that if they had been a work of fiction, no one with any sense would have ever believed it. A frantic one-man band who bashed out ultra-crude rock & roll tunes about sex, chicken, and decapitation into a wheezing reel-to-reel tape machine in a West Virginia shack..."

Sounds like a riot! I think I'm going to pick up the compiliation "Out to Hunch." It's on a label called Norton which I'm not familiar with but their website's kind of funny.

Didn't he die recently? I bought something from Norton once before but I can't remember what.

He's up there with Charlie Feathers. The unsung (well except by The Cramps) crazy mongers who invented rock and roll.

Cool! I ordered a CD from Norton yesterday. Can't wait to hear it.
