"Black" is my favorite song on the album, and I like the whole thing

MGL, I have it on Colinswood, yo.

It's my favorite record of the year. "Black" is an early standout, but I'm not sure if it's the best song on the album. The disc has a flow to it unlike anything I've heard this year.

A beautiful, soulful album.

If you're looking for more up-tempo songs like "Black" you're going to find very little of it on this album, but it's damn good regardless.

FWIW, "For Real" is my favorite song on the album.

"Black" is pretty great song, but it's a little more straightforward rock than I'd like to see from Okkervil River. I prefer "The Latest Toughs" myself.

Its good. not as good as "Down The River...", in my opinion, but good nonetheless.
