I dig some of the Fat Possum stuff but in all honesty, they try to sell the image a bit too much for my taste. But putting money in the pockets of these artists at the expense of middle aged yuppies is classic.

actually, paul, the movie is totally worth checking out, as it follows the 2 owners (who do not make a lot of money at all, mostly because every one of the FP artists are crazy and demand exorbant amounts of money to show up at gigs they already signed contracts for, etc...

the movie is awesome. i put up a post about it a few months ago but it was largely ignored. It was made a little too late (more Junior Kimbrough footage would be nice) but there's still some classic shit (Kenny Brown and R.L.'s first gig together at a shack in the woods in the 70s, etc...) that makes it hard to stop watching. There's some sketch artists they use that pissed me off a few times, but the stories alone are worth it. Also Cedric Burnside drums like a motherfucker.

Fair enough, I will check it out ... Ive heard a couple of Kimbrough stories that kept me away from his shows.. anyhow, gotta love RL...

yeah R.L. is a trip. I got to drink corn with T-Model Ford a few years ago in Pittsburgh. it was.....an experience.

f4df sounds a bit too whiney to be a good fighter and would probably resort to sissyslapping. Plus he reads a fagmag like Creem.
