Dinosaur Jr. is on Day 2 so that alone makes that day more appealing in my book. Do you know if you can get a one-day pass for the festival or is it two-day only?

Right now it's only two but they're supposed to be releasing one day tickets only either this week, or next.

Yeah, day two has the DBT's which for me is awesome. And Spoon. Arcade Fire. Ben Kweller(though he's playing same time as Trucker's so that's a no-brainer).

And I actually do want to see The Killers.

But I doubt I'll be there until the Truckers go on, except for maybe The Changes, then I'll go home for a bit. Man, this close living to grant park and re-entry thing with a two day pass is gonna rock.

After looking at the schedule, the lineup doesn't look as impressive. Regardless though...that weekend is going to be a lot of fun. Drunk all day? Fo sho!

unfortunately, i'm going to have to pass on trekking out to chicago. i was banking on getting this raise/promotion at work to fund the trip and apparently since my work is screwing me over, doesn't look like it will happen. and then i also didn't realize the beck show was on the 22nd, and it's an early b-day present from a friend so i can't flake on that either.

t, represent la for me ok! i expect you to be VERY drunk and cause plenty of shenanagins.

I have seen those guys twice now and each time was torture. The album is great but the live shows is utter crap. Sounds like isht and boring as hell to watch.

Nice line up.

I say forsake all and be there for the Truckers start to finish. Although I prefer them when they can play their full 3 HOUR sets I would take what I could get.

Oh and there is a 7 drink minimum that must be adhered to before they go on.

Heh Maybe we can get everyone to take a trip down into my neck of the woods fri night(where you'll also be) and meet up with us for drinks.

There's a few good taverns in the area to go to.

It's been a really long time since faulty wiring electrocuted anyone on stage. But, hey, the Red Sox won the series, so you never can tell.

I'm still hopefully going to be able to make the journey to chi-town.

So what is the difference between a "soft-sided cooler" and a "hard-sided cooler"? I was just looking on the page and noticed soft coolers are cool, but hard-sided ones ain't. There probably isn't much of a chance of me getting booze in there, right?

Nope.

It's on the Prohibited Items list. And in parentheses it says "we'll be selling alcohol at the festival". Sure. But it'll be the most expensive drink you'll ever have.

I wonder what my chances of getting a giant water bottle filled with koolaid and lots of rum in would be. hmmm.

Got ours. The lady in the mail room of our building had put it in a special place because it was such a small envelope, then she forgot that she had gotten them in(even after I presented her with the key that was in our box saying we had a package) and then forgot where the special place that she hid them was.

Oy

Anyways, yay they're here!

Is this for real? I say that because of the outrageous price tag..

We are offering a limited number of Friends of Lollapalooza packages for Lollapalooza 2005. The package includes:

• Two laminates that serve as tickets to both days of the show
• Access into The Lollalounge for both laminate holders, both days
• Two Lollapalooza commemorative t-shirts
• Lollalounge includes yummy food buffets from Wolfgang Puck catering, Budweiser beer, Lollalounge Lemonade (featuring Tito's handmade vodka), a Lolla boutique featuring exclusive items, fan-friendly luxury amenities and mini massages, plus an excellent view of the two main stages.

All VIP Badge Holders will receive complimentary admission to the exclusive Lollapalooza Artist After Party, Sunday, July 24, from midnight until 4 AM, at Crobar. Music by Mark Farina, featuring both Mushroom Jazz and House sets.

Cost: $700

Yeah, I thought that was fuckin' hilarious. That should also include hotel room and a driver to/from the airport at the very least.
