A Day In Obner History (15th November 2004)

It was a day of mixed emotions on Obner as a tearful Shiv mourned the passing of Ol' Dirty Bastard in not one but two posts, leaving in each the touching eulogy "yo"...which conveniently hyperlinked back to the alternative thread he had started on the subject.

The reflective mood didn't last long though, as conjecture ran rampant on the size of Scott Baio's manhood, Newt commenting with unnerving confidence "he's got a cock like a horse". Twlight Kid's onomatopoeic response could be interpretted in a number of ways - unfortunately, each as disturbing as the other.

Elsewhere, but on a similar theme of 'sexually charged underwear', the enraptured Charli breathlessly recounted an aftershow meeting with hunky singer/songwriter Joseph Arthur. "It was cool and I was nervous" she squeaked, ebulliently.

On matters musical, New York based writer Katie A Princess showed just why she has risen to the top of the music journalism world with her pioneering use of the word "meh" in a one word review of Dogs Die In Hot Cars.

Joy Division were judged masters of the album cover, Muse "destroyed last night" and for the appalling crime of releasing a DVD with extra tracks on it Morrissey was labelled "a jerk".

Never let it be said that Obner lacks in the way of reasoned opinion.
