And damn, there's a lot of Modest Mouse songs on there... I'm shocked that there's no Beatles, only 1 Ramones, 1 Cure song.

I'll definitely set some rules and guidelines for the next countdown. The last time, it was really just a spur of the moment situation. Nothing was planned. In any case, a Top 1000 countdown with NO Beatles songs on it is rather faulty in my opinion. Something must be done about that.

Yeah I was just curious how the guidelines were set up... I mean, judging from everyone's Listmania albums & song lists- I was really surprised by this.

Just to clarify- there was no voting on this top 1000 list. It was done totally random, which was kind of fun.

I think there was some sort of stipulation that they be "alternative" or whatever, otherwise there'd definitely be more old rock.
