Yep, I agree, I love it. I was a little worried after I saw a couple of reviews saying it was derivative and boring, but one listen and I was hooked. Gorgeous, dark pop, exactly what I was in the mood for the past couple days. Pair this with that equally dark, but lush new Brian Eno and you have a couple hours of really wonderful listening.

Very interested this after getting (and thoroughly enjoying) their live album earlier this year.

as good as their last album. "sonic bliss" is a good way to state it.

Is it more exciting than Your Mine & Ours? I liked on song, and the rest was sleep inducing. I sold it back after about a week.

it's pretty good. more of the same from mr. pernice...which is never a bad thing.

that said, it won't end up near my top 20.

I think this is my least favorite Joe Pernice-related release (although I've never heard the earliest Scud Mountain Boys material) - sub-par lyrics and boring music.

I need to listen to this more, but I tend to agree. I have every Pernice-related album except for Chappaquiddick Skyline and it will have to be a major grower not to be my least favorite. This is the first Pernice album which actually has songs that I've disliked at first listen (don't ask me which ones).

Never really been a huge fan, but when I saw them live after Yours, Mine and Ours came out, they bored me lots. The only highlight of the evening was "7:30" off of World Won't End. That song will always fucking rock.
