Vodka or Rum.

Can't stand Tequila.

Bourbon and Sprite or Ginger..Old Forester if they got it.

Usually though, I roll like Busty: Bud Lights and Jaeger Bombs.

Of the choices listed, definitely bourbon (on ice or neat)---I'm partial to Blantons if we're going top-shelf, but Makers and Knob are pretty good too.

Give Blantons a try, too. You'll never go back.

I had a sampling of that hellaciously alcoholic beer last night. Good Stuff.

And anyone of you drinking Maker's who doesn't make the switch to Old Forester clearly know nothing about bourbon. Same flavor. Half price. The house brand at every country club in Alabama.

Most likely the best and worst thing to happen to my drinking in the past 5 years.

I'm enjoying a Tanqueray 10 and tonic in a short glass, with 3 limes mind you, as we speak.

Best summer drink ever.

Scotch isn't making the showing it deserves.

On the issue of jaeger bombs. Everytime I drink these the next day I feel like I'm on the verge of a heart attack. So I don't do those anymore.

I prefer Sapphire, but either way you pour it, it sure is a great summer drink.

If you've never had a mojito, it's another fantastic summer drink.

Here's a recipe.

Mojito
3 fresh mint sprigs
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 oz light rum
club soda

In a tall thin glass, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside. Add the sugar and lemon juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with *chilled* club soda (or seltzer). Add a lemon slice and the remaining mint, and serve.

Seriously, have one of these on a hot day and let me know what you think.
