I noticed you mentioned this song in the NewPornos thread. It's the first song on the rekkid to really grab me. Spun it last night at bingo; these two older women were disturbed when I sang along with the freak out part at the end.

How are you liking the rest of the album,Tommy?

edit: my np at 1:37pm est is "The Clark Howard Show" funny what bumpers you hear on talk radio. This show always uses FTC's "She Drives Me Crazy" as the intro bumper is is generally uncreative but I just heard "Car Wheels On a Gravel Road" when they went to the last break. Interesting.

Boy, that's a really good one. I have this on one of my mixes from like two years ago.

Choice.

I still remember buying that album, on spring break '99. I was riding the MCTS home -- Rt. 76 (Southridge to Northridge, I departing its company around Lincoln Ave.) -- and espied a couple eight-grade females with the same album in hand. Such was when I began to realize -- or should have anyway -- that my tastes and my friends's were diverging. When I had a favorite album in common with middle-schoolers (who are, honestly, the trend-makers) and not my indie-rock-listening, garage-rock-recording comperes of three, four years standing, and who were my age, I should have known... They had passed me by....

Or maybe I had passed them by.

I think the proof would be in whether they bought the Eminem Show, or if they still think Hail to the Thief is one of the greats.
